I started as a designer and evolved into a brand strategist and creative director. Getting new business for design agencies came as a natural talent. I'd be working on a project and spot an opportunity. I generated millions in revenue for the design firms I worked at.
I started my consulting practice in 2009, knowing that many design firms and creative agencies needed help with business development. My first teleclass was "The 5 Questions You Need to Ask a Prospect Before You Even Think about Meeting". A thousand people registered, which began my path as a business development consultant, coach and trainer to design firms and creative agencies worldwide. I'm one of the few creatives who understand how to get business and have successfully taught my strategies to many clients. I watched design studios double, triple and even quadruple their sales, become more profitable and get work without wasting hundreds of unnecessary hours on proposals.
I've been a speaker, trainer, and contributor in the design community to AIGA, Design Enterprise Skillnet in Ireland, DBA (the Design Business Association) in London, HOW, and Communication Arts. I have consulted hundreds of agencies on how to sell branding and design services, lead generation, building a pipeline, positioning your agency to stand out, client retention, graphic design business models, target audience, winning pitches, and more. I've even partnered with some of my clients to help them win a particular pitch, and we did win!
